Website Terms
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms explain the conditions for using the Charter Pay website. They relate to website use only; commercial service agreements are separate.
1. About this website and these Terms
Welcome to the Charter Pay website (the “Website”). Charter Pay is the brand under which workforce solutions, including Employer of Record (EOR), Contractor of Record (COR), global payroll and contractor management services, are presented. References to “Charter Pay”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the business operating this Website under that brand. The legal entity responsible for providing a particular service will be identified in the relevant proposal or written agreement.
These Website Terms (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this Website. By using it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Website. These Terms do not replace any separately executed client, employment or contractor agreement.
2. Information only; no professional advice
Material on this Website—including country employment guides, payroll rates, tax bands, statutory contributions, legal explanations and comparisons—is provided for general information. It is not legal, tax, immigration, accounting, employment or other professional advice and should not be relied upon without obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances.
Rules, rates, interpretations and operational requirements can change. While we aim to keep information useful and reasonably current, we do not guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date in every jurisdiction. You should independently verify applicable requirements before making employment, payroll, immigration or business decisions.
3. Service descriptions, countries and pricing
References to EOR, COR, payroll, contractor management, local partners and other support describe potential service offerings, not a promise that any specific arrangement is available in every location. Service eligibility, employer or contracting structure, regulatory feasibility, geographic coverage, partner involvement, timelines, responsibilities and charges are assessed case by case.
Website prices, where displayed, are indicative unless expressly stated otherwise. They may exclude salaries, employer taxes and contributions, benefits, third-party charges, transaction costs, foreign-exchange differences and applicable taxes. A written quotation and signed agreement will establish the scope and commercial terms of any engagement.
4. Enquiries do not create a service relationship
Submitting a form, emailing us or discussing your plans does not by itself create a client, employment, contractor, agency, advisory or fiduciary relationship with Charter Pay or any partner. No service commitment arises until the relevant parties enter into an applicable written agreement.
We may decline or discontinue an enquiry or proposed engagement where necessary for legal, compliance, capacity or commercial reasons. Do not include highly sensitive personal information, passwords, identification documents or bank details in a general website enquiry unless we have requested them through an appropriate secure channel.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, scrape or extract content at an excessive rate, introduce harmful code, impersonate others or submit material that infringes another person’s rights. Information you provide should be accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you should have authority to share any third-party personal data you submit.
We may restrict access or take appropriate action in response to suspected misuse, subject to applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
Except where otherwise indicated, the Charter Pay name, branding, original website text, designs and other original materials are owned by or licensed to the Website operator. You may view and make limited personal or internal business use of the Website but may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, rebrand or commercially exploit its content without permission, except as allowed by law.
Some photographs, icons, software, fonts, maps and other elements are third-party materials and remain subject to their respective owners’ rights and licences. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual-property rights to you.
7. Third-party services and websites
The Website may contain links to third-party sites or use technology supplied by hosting, forms, communications or other providers. Such links are provided for convenience. We do not control third-party content or their privacy or security practices, and linking does not necessarily constitute endorsement. Please review any applicable third-party terms and policies.
8. Availability, changes and security
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Website, its content or features without prior notice. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that the Website will always be error-free or free from harmful code. You are responsible for taking reasonable precautions when using the internet and this Website.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and its informational content are supplied on an “as available” basis, without warranties as to completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. We are not responsible for decisions made solely in reliance on general Website content, or for losses attributable to third-party sites or services outside our control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricts any non-waivable statutory rights. Any liability arising under a signed service agreement is governed by that agreement rather than these Website Terms.
10. Privacy and personal information
Our collection and handling of personal information through this Website is described in our Privacy Policy. Please read it before sending an enquiry. If you submit information about someone else, you must have a lawful basis for doing so and provide any required notices.
11. Governing law and disputes
Subject to any mandatory rules applicable to you, these Website Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Parties should first seek to resolve website-related concerns in good faith by contacting us. Where resolution is not possible, the courts with competent jurisdiction in Kenya may determine disputes, without prejudice to any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law. If a change materially affects you, please review the updated version before continuing to use the Website.
13. Contact
